auf weider- Einhänder

I'm off to Germany for the week, and don't actually expect to be able to stay online.  I'm going dark, friends.  If I were staying in a cheap hotel, the internet access would have been free.  Sheesh.

The only German I know is Einhänder and choice phrases from Castle Wolfenstein.  Wonder if they'll come in handy?

Good luck! Also, let us know how the other stuff turned out?

Thanks. This is a business trip, so I guess they're keeping me. (But I will post about the repercussions...)

Exiled to Germany? Wow, I guess you were a bad boy! Say "Guten Tag" to Colonel Klink while you're there.

P.S.: what little German I remember I picked up from Hogan's Heroes reruns.

I'm down with Hogan's Heroes. Us old folk have to stick together, David.

"Noch ein bier, bitte" is an additional survival phrase that comes in very handy.

Ooh, I was looking for that! Danke! That phrase (maybe zwei) would have been the basis of this post, had I actually known it.

Wow! Have a lovely trip and a safe journey! ^^ You'll have to regale us with stories of where you went. I lived in Germany when I was wee, it'd be nice to live vicariously through you.

Get this: It's a business trip, and the conferences I'm attending are in the hotel at which I'm staying. I'll be lucky if I see the sky during the whole trip!
