One of the video series I subscribe to from NetFlix is My Hime. Every time we get a notification that the next DVD is shipping, my wife reads the message as,

"Your DVD, My Hiney, is shipping."

And she then never fails to let me know about my upcoming shipment of anal sex porn.

(And speaking of My Hime. It's killing me that it's a 7 Disk series, but NetFlix only shows 6 in the database. Yes, I know the 7th isn't out yet, but I'd prefer it if I could subscribe to the series, and when the 7th became available, it got magically added to my queue. As it is, I have to keep re-checking to see if the final DVD is listed yet.)

Oooh I love that series! It's pretty much standard anime plots 3, 345, and 897294 but for some reason I still love it. I will advise you to watch it subtitled, though. The english dub is horrible and ruins it in my opinion. I've seen both and they don't even feel like the same anime, they are so different.

I'm probably missing out on good English dubbing because I almost always watch my anime subtitled. (The only good dubbing I can remember is from Full Metal Alchemist.) I just finished the 6th DVD, and am waiting for the release of the 7th. ::taps foot:::

Dur. See, I read your post thinking that you were BEGINNING the series. *facepalms self* I tend to prefer subs too. Full metal Alchemist was a really good dub, though, and I actually prefer the Cowboy BeBop dub to the sub. If I'm doing something that requires my attention and I have anime on for companionship and comfort I tend to put it on to dubs, though, so I'm not as strict as some, but bad dubs really really annoy me. It feels like someone destroyed a work of art. Fingerpainted over the Mona Lisa.

I am so with you on this. Now I've got Yoko Kanno tunes going in my head. (Esp. the opening theme to the Cowboy Bebop movie.) But I'm happy! I love her music.

::giggle:: That's absolutely hilarious. ;) My better half has all but summed it up, by My HiME is an AMAZING series. Ever since before last year's Otakon we were really thrilled about that series, and the promo episodes I saw on a DVD that came with a NewType I got last year reeled me in hook line and sinker. I'm glad there are enough discs out there to start really collecting it. ::grin:: And considering some of the cheesecake in the series, I'm not horribly surprised at the type of error.
