I lose.

Damn you, R. L. Stein.

Tonight, Cartoon Network is playing an R. L. Stein marathon.  Right now, they're playing The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It.  So, of course, I think about it.

Yeah.  I lose.  Move along.

Also, while watching the episode right before that, my four-year-old son says in his most suspenseful voice, "It's just a dream.  But it's not a dream.  It's real!"

Thanks, R. L. Stein.  Now even An American Werewolf in London won't have any effect on him, because he'll have seen all the twists.

::dejected:: Phooey.

Be strong. Ask yourself, "What would Neil Gaiman do?" And move forth boldly.

Welcome to my cascade. I'd been winning for over two months.

She knew I was gonna read this topic, and put that there just to spite me, didn't she? Yes, the universe revolves around me. Except when it's revolving around.... him! I was winning because I had neither thought about nor encountered a reference to En Guh for quite some time. R. L. Stine. Makes a living writing creepazoidic horror novels for kids. Does that guy have it made, or what? A career like R. L. Stine and a girlfriend like Namie Amuro... now that could be my definition of success!

Yeah. I knew Pastilla was trolling for you, but what could I do?

Is N.G. in there as well? Will our friends wake up in a blood-splattered room? With smoking puddles of blood?
