Backup of David's Livejournal

It's a bat'leth, You filthy p'tahk.

I framed my signed Armadeaddon poster, and it's here at work hanging above my desk.  It give me joy just to look at it.  (Not because it's signed, although that's cool.  I loved the story arc.)

I try to be professional here at work.  But the desire to talk about the poster is making that nigh impossible.  It doesn't matter if a VP or Director of Your-Division-Here comes into my cube.  I'm all:  Look!  It's the Fruit Fucker!  A bloodied cardboard tube!  And he rolls 20s!  Isn't that awesome?!

SO LUCKY! I don't blame you one bit, I'd definitely hang that over my cube. XD

It is apparent I am not a sufficiently in-the-know comix geek to hang with you guys.

Yeah-huh, Mr. Brush-with-greatness. Happily, the field of comics is broad enough to accommodate all of us. Besides, Penny Arcade is more gaming than comics, anyway. The story arc, which makes no sense at all if you haven't been following the comic, begins here.

"We're down to the N-gages here, man!" Ha! A model railroading gag! Thank you for furthering my ongoing quest for knowledge and enlightenment. (My RPG knowledge, familiarity with zombie lore, and previous workplace experience with a guy exactly like Frank were sufficient for me to derive considerable amusement from this tale. But, jeez... the stuff you gotta know just to understand a comic strip!)
