Must... Resist... Twittering

I quite enjoy the fact that the url for "The Asymptotic Twitter Curve" is

http://headrush.typepad.com/creating_passionate_users/2006/12/httpwww37signal.html.

That's right.  Look at the end of that url.  httpwww37signal.   I love them as much as the next guy, but WTF?

Also.  I have an old twitter account.  So do some of you.  And I've been consciously staying off the service because I'm not sure if twitter will be an unproductive time sink or not.  But you know my love for feeds.  What to do?  How has twitter affected your life?

I have a twitter. I try to use it more sparingly than some of the people I see on there. If you look at the front page, you can see some of them actually use it as some weird chatroom alternative. They post twitters "@someone" in response to them. Sometimes you can see whole chat conversations on the front page. It's too weird, and not what I am interested in using Twitter for.... But it's interesting. I don't know. I can see how it would easily turn into a huge time sink. I used to be more into the "this is what I'm doing right now! no, now! noooo, now!" but I seem to have mellowed out over all. Maybe. Uhm. I'm totally rambling in your comments. Anyway, I added you!

Happy to have you ramble! "I have a twitter." That's a funny thing to say. What, do you chirp like a bird? The theme of "The Asymptotic Twitter Curve" hits home with me. I'm trying to find a happy spot where I'm "in the loop" with my friends, but I'm still able to get into my creative groove, which requires that I focus narrowly and deeply.
