Backup of David's Livejournal

(No Subject)

On Father's Day and Mother's Day, if, at any time, the other parent ruins the day, the honored parent can call a Do-Over, and the family celebrates the day again the next week. Do-Over rights continue until the celebration is correct.

INT. CAR.   DAY

David is driving, we come in mid-conversation.  David is pleased with himself.

LILLIAN
(threatens)
Don't make me cut you.

DAVID
I feel a do-over coming on.

LILLIAN
(fumes, but smartly acquiesces)

Happy Father's Day to the daddies out there! There's another story here.

Bwah! I'm about 40 minutes too late on this coast, but I might still be in time on yours: Happy Father's Day!

You made it in plenty of time. Thank you, thank you!

(In Mal voice) Don't you be pushin' that good woman too far, now. It be's the still waters that rises up and drowns you, ye know.

I love that all you have to say is, "(In Mal voice)" and I can imagine exactly how it's supposed to be said.

She's got spirit! Her big Father's Day gift to me was tickets to Avenue Q. I'm giddy!
