There's a scene in Buffy the Vampire Slayer season six's finale where Jonathan says, "Are you kidding, she's like Dark Phoenix up there and you just expect us to outrun her?"

Oh, man. I just couldn't get that finale out of my head as I re-watched the scenario in the finale of X-Men.

Phoenix was all Dark Willow up there, and Wolverine was all Xander. Except with the killing and all. I can't believe I hadn't been spoiled with the comparison myself. I'd have thought the web would be dripping with it.
