After meeting with Reed Hastings, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has decided to split Amazon in two: Amazon would continue to sell electronic books, music and videos. The new independent offshoot, iGetr, would contain the part of the company that sells physical goods. Reviews, wishlists, logins, will be separate and independent. Amazon Web Services will probably continue to work at at least one of the companies, but Bezos wouldn't say for sure. Jeff Bezos conceded, "apparently it's what you want."
