Capricious Meta, you troublemaker. I don't even know what to do with "Cowards Bend the Knee." I can see why Guy Maddin has been called the Canadian David Lynch. There's lots to this movie that I really liked, and there's lots that has deeply disturbed me.

"Meta" is the name of the character played by Melissa Dionisio. "Capricious Meta..." starts one of the text cards in this silent movie. I really liked that phrase.

Before seeing the movie, you should do a little research. (If you're a Netflix member, I like this review at Netflix: Cowards Bend the Knee)

In case referencing a "Canadian David Lynch" wasn't warning enough: The movie "goes there" in some sexual situations I was uncomfortable with. But then there were great scenes with boobies (ice and otherwise), too, so that helped.

Ahh man. No streaming. I dropped the DVD plan too. Damn you Netflix, MPAA, Hollywood!!!

DVDs take too much work! Haha. I'm a little concerned about Starz not resigning but that's the breaks. I'm more concerned with comcast and studios colluding to prevent same time releases.

Hmmm ... maybe we should start saying that I'm the Canadian David Lynch and start my talk show rounds ... first I'll need to know who David Lynch is and why isn't he Canadian already?
