My daughter made her first video. It's a slice-of-life story about our family. I taught her how to edit with Pinnacle Studio, but otherwise she wrote, directed and edited the video.

It was filmed over a couple of days, and out-of-order, so I'm pretty proud that the final product sorta resembles her original vision.

Here's a story I wrote, directed and edited about my family playing the game Minecraft. Hope you like it! Editing software: Pinnacle Studio and music by C418

This is so cute! I love it!

Heh, thanks. I'd have preferred it if it were 2:00 minutes, and lots of the scenes of people walking were removed, and the points about people stealing Minecraft seats from each other were driven home more clearly... But she actually set up the individual shots and she knew what she wanted, so I let her go with it.

I agree, it's about twice as long as it should be, but adjusting for age and experience a good first effort. (Also missing reaction shots/close ups.)

I was wondering if anyone was going to catch that! That whole movie, shot-for-shot, came from my daughter. When she read that to us, Lillian and I burst out laughing. I did question it, but in the end we kept it in. It was too rich.

The look of dejection on your wife's face as she says "ok" and walks away is priceless too.

YAY!! I'd feared all these long shots hid the nuances. So glad you caught that, too. Another inside joke: I really do love Kashi Dark Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies, so she threatened to eat my last one in a vain attempt to get me out of the chair so that she could grab it and play Minecraft with the kids. I love the way that after I don't fall for her ruse, she looks around desperately for another tactic to trick one of us out of our chairs, but walks away dejectedly.
