I finally got a chance to watch Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance. (It took Netflix this long to ship it too me. Someone must have held on to it forever.) Now that was the movie I expected after the television series.

I've really been enjoying them so far. I've been pretty impressed with the amount of clarity in the Blu Ray releases. But yeah, definitely a change in pace and I'm digging it a lot.

edit: Sorry, I guess I don't have much to add other than, they're awesome! :) I wanted to go back and watch them with the dub just do I could check out the new animation.

[SPOILER ALERT] You already watched it, right‽ I liked how the world ended with the same image/pose of Rei Ayanami as rotates in the closing credits of the TV series. (Fly me to the moon -rei misato asuka-) (Yes, I watched pass the credits of 2.22, I just liked writing that the world ended.)

+Robert Salender You have a Minecraft Asuka userpic? I think we can be friends. Also - post credits of 2.22: I was so happy to hear the Next Episode jingle. Really didn't expect that.
