I'm sorry, but how does the new GMail layout pass muster? This, by the way, is the "dense" layout. The normal preview is even more sparse. I understand the nature of the CSS aligning and wrapping. It's still unacceptable.

i didn't care for either but i do like the android theme.

yep! I went "ew." and switched back to my old theme :)

It is even worse when I use the "Priority Inbox" feature. There are huge vertical gaps between the different sections, and the sections themselves are not sufficiently visually distinguished.
