In terms of drawing my attention to new posts from all my circles, Google+ is failing. It's a non-trivial problem, but I don't like having to click on my different circles to refresh my stream-view's newest-updated posts to the top. The notification thing at the top right is not sufficient or always correct.

I'm missing some of your posts despite my effort to catch them. That's not right.

I'm not sure I understand. If I leave it in stream view, when posts get commented on, or new posts appear, they automatically get sorted to the top. That said, it can be easy to miss new posts in the midst of modified posts which have floated up.
