David BlumeI might be a sort of "comforting geek." I've tried to get people who aren't interested in what I write about to unsubscribe (at other venues). They usually won't.
Even though they don't directly care about security, cryptography, changes in APIs and cloud technology, they seem to like to know that I do, and like to be aware when I've posted thoughts on the issues.
Maybe this makes me a sort of canary in the coalmine? I won't be where they first get their news about such issues. But they can see when my feathers are ruffled about the state of things.
