Considerably cheaper, the results are probably going to be just as unpredictable, and if the companies turn it into 'an event' it could be a win for both sides, no matter the results.

I dislike the comment that this is the way to settle it 'like a man', by one of the comments, though. I wouldn't even say this is always the best way to resolve conflicts, but for this particular one, it makes a lot of sense - it can be s' total publicity win.

It isn't without precedent. There was an arm-wrestling match for the phrase, "plane smart" between two CEOs.

There are comments at Notch's tumblog‽ I don't see them. Is there a direct link to the "like a man" comment?

I have no clue. o.o Viewing via G+ on my android device, I saw '5xx notes' and they contained things such as likes, comments, linkbacks, etc. I don't see that from the tumblr link here.

I'm so curious about what you're talking about! Viewing this via the iPhone app doesn't show "5xx notes." Could those "5xx" notes be a collection of all public Google+ posts that referenced the link independently? They don't appear to be comments at tumblr. They don't appear to be tweets.

I just checked in both G+ on Android and on iPhone, and I see the same thing: It's a mobile version of tumble, and lower right of the post has 'xxx notes' (now over 900) and notes continue immediately below the post. If I copy the url and view outside of of G+ using the standard browser, I still see them.

Thought: Notch has disabled showing of this, but the mobile site ignores that.

Aha! So interesting! In a way, his mobile theme is (probably unintentionally) more fully featured, then. Heh.

I think it's just 'default tumblr mobile ui'
