Backup of David's Google+ Posts

(This post is to +こんにちはザンナ only.) I like your new name here! Especially how it fits with at least one account elsewhere. It may be a practical defense against Google+'s weird name policy, too? (Where they seem to prefer fake but common names that have nothing to do with a valuable identity. Japanese may get a pass?)

Thank you! Basically, I didn't want to use my "full name" because I don't use it often on the web so it seemed odd. They require at least an initial, it seems. At least, that's how I got myself reinstated. The initial really irritates my aesthetic sense, though, so I was literally not using G+ much as a result.

Reviewing Skud's info, it says no mixed language names. (ie English first name, Chinese last). So, I thought I would just convert the whole thing to Japanese and it would solve the whole thing.

Originally I did use the last name in katakana but then thought I'd do this instead.

Downside is I think it's harder for people to +reference me!

I referenced you today by typing "@zann.." until こんにちはザンナbecame the default choice of my contacts. So, it's still not any harder to +reference you if people think to try that, and most people who know you would, I think.

Repeating myself - it's clever! It works! (for me) I love it. I know you're working within a restrictive system, and you made something good of it. Just had to say it.
