Backup of David's Livejournal

I crack me up.

Today, Yentl was on PBS. It's one of Lillian's favorite movies, so we had to watch it. She sang along to the songs.

There's a scene where Avigdor, who'd been having inappropriate feelings for his colleague learns that the colleague is really a woman. So now everything's cool with his feelings. I busted out in an impromptu song on behalf of Avigdor:

I'm not gaaaaaaaay! (music swells)
The *man* I loved
is on the rag, it-
It means I'm not
really a f-

My rendition stopped there. Mostly because I couldn't stop laughing at myself, but also because Lillian hit me.

Oh, the singing was as terrible as the lyrics. At least I belted it out with feeling. That's what actually made it more fun, and made me start laughing at myself. I never would have completed that line anyway. I'm not that vulgar.
