A while ago I watched Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher's "No Strings Attached" and really disliked it. Shame, too, because I like Natalie Portman. (OK, she was the reason I watched it.) But yuck. What a detestable movie.

It nearly put me off of Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake's "Friends with Benefits." (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1632708/) Good thing my wife enqueued it anyway.

Turns out I liked Friends with Benefits. That's so much more my style of romantic comedy. (In as much as it didn't have vampires, laser guns, high-speed chases etc.)

I'm actually happy that I get to tell Netflix how much I disliked "No Strings Attached" and liked "Friends with Benefits." Here's hoping their algorithm can figure out what makes me tick.

I remember seeing the ads for this back when they came out. Kayu and I were both confused that they seemed to be trying to sell the same movie twice, with different actors. I guess they weren't the same after all?

Confusing.

Exactly. That's why I bothered to post. I actually liked Friends with Benefits, which surprised me a little. It didn't hurt that it also had Jason Segel, Andy Samberg, Woody Harrelson and Emma Stone and in it.
