It has literally been sitting on +James Lewis's desk for a month now (from Netflix). I told him on Thursday to send it back because it's on Instant now.  I need to try to watch it this weekend.

I'm pretty sure it's one that we have to be in the mood for. If it's on Instant, though, I suppose I can just send it in.

Yep.  It's slow, and makes depression practically tangible. You shouldn't be surprised if you've already seen other Lars von Trier films, I'd think. It's effective and beautiful. It's also sorta like two movies.  My wife didn't like the second part, I liked both parts.
